The Polish competition authority has recently completed inspections on ten models of bicycle seats, uncovering serious construction defects and improper labeling in almost all of them.

Examples of the issues found include test dummies falling out of safety belts and openings and straps that pose risks of pinching fingers or entrapment of feet.

Consumers are advised to check the weight limit for children, the mechanisms for securing the seats to bicycles, and foot protection features before purchasing a bicycle seat. More detailed information can be found in the authority's report.
