Latvia's Competition Authority has retained its high three-star rating in the Global Competition Review for the tenth consecutive year, placing it among the world's leading competition authorities alongside other countries like Belgium, Lithuania, Poland, and Switzerland.

In the 2024 global ranking of competition authorities, Latvia's Competition Authority was praised for its efficiency in defending decisions in legal proceedings, cartel investigations, and merger control processes, while also focusing on strategic planning and resource enhancement.

The positive evaluation reflects the authority's efforts in long-term development, strategy formulation, digitalization, and enforcement actions, including penalties imposed on companies for prohibited agreements and initiatives to promote fair competition.
