On January 28, 2026, a collaboration agreement was signed between Prof. Dr. Željko Tanjić, Rector of the Catholic University of Croatia, and Dr. Mirta Kapural, President of the Croatian Competition Authority (AZTN).
The aim of this collaboration is to connect the teaching of social sciences, particularly law, with the field of competition law, thereby bringing the legal profession closer to students in integrated undergraduate and graduate university studies.
Through this agreement, the signatories commit to work together to improve the quality of study programs and the professional development of law students at HKS in the area of competition law. This will be achieved through educational activities and guest lectures by AZTN staff in accordance with the current study programs, as well as occasional visits by AZTN students and joint educational initiatives.
The collaboration will involve direct contacts between the parties, sharing information about professional events (seminars, conferences, etc.), mutual invitations to seminars and other educational programs organized by either party in the field of law and competition policy, and joint organization of educational activities, professional gatherings, round tables, or conferences based on available resources.
AZTN aims to provide internship opportunities for HKS law students to gain practical knowledge about the functioning and operations of AZTN and further education in competition law.
