The OECD, European Commission, and six competition authorities initiated a project to combat bid rigging in public procurement across several European countries. The project, funded by the EU, aims to improve bid rigging prevention, detection, and compliance with competition law in public contracts.
The collaboration seeks to promote better practices in public contracts and enhance competition law compliance in the participating countries. The project kick-off event gathered over 40 participants both in Zagreb and online, marking the beginning of efforts to fight bid rigging in public procurement.
Additionally, the Republic of Croatia has successfully completed the accession process in the area of competition with the OECD, following the adoption of the OECD Competition Committee's official opinion during negotiations for membership.
