Qwint B.V., a small energy supplier in the Netherlands, is set to exit the market on April 1, 2024, after not accepting new customers for some time. The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) found issues with Qwint's billing process, leading to delays in sending annual and final bills to customers. As a result, Qwint has committed to resolving these issues and ensuring the payment of any outstanding credit balances to customers, even post-exit. Customers waiting for final bills will receive their dues along with compensation of up to 20 euros for delays. ACM will oversee the proper execution of Qwint's commitments.
