On August 20, 2026, the Slovak competition authority, known as PMÚ, began administrative proceedings to evaluate a concentration involving the acquisition of indirect joint control by EIF, a.s. from Bratislava and HBz., a.s. from Prievidza over several companies in the energy sector.

The companies under review include TeHo Bardejov, s.r.o., BARDENERGY, s.r.o. (both located in Bardejov), TeHo Topoľčany, s.r.o., and TOMA, s.r.o. (both located in Topoľčany), through the company TEHO INVEST, a.s. from Bratislava.

The PMÚ invites third parties, including individuals and legal entities, to submit their comments, objections, and information regarding the announced concentration. The authority requests that these submissions be made as soon as possible following the announcement to ensure they can be considered during the initial phase of the assessment.
