The Polish competition authority has recently completed a thorough inspection of 14 models of reusable charcoal grills and an equal number of thermal gloves designed for grilling and kitchen use. The inspections focused on labeling, heat resistance, flammability, and stability of these products.

Alarmingly, 9 out of the 14 grill models were found to have construction defects. Issues included instability, use of excessively thin metal, overheating, sharp edges, and poorly adhered labels. These defects pose serious safety risks to consumers who rely on these products for outdoor cooking.

In addition to the grills, half of the thermal gloves inspected lacked proper labeling and instructions. One particular model failed to meet safety standards, being unable to resist flame spread and contact heat at 250°C. This raises significant concerns regarding consumer protection and product safety in the market.
