The Czech competition authority, known as ÚOHS, has granted approval for IMOS Brno, a.s. to acquire a 100% stake in Dopravní stavby Brno, s.r.o. This decision was made under a simplified procedure and is now final.
IMOS Brno is part of the IMOS holding group, which operates in the construction sector across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany. The group specializes in executing complex projects in civil, transport, and water management construction, as well as producing and selling aggregates and asphalt mixtures.
Dopravní stavby Brno focuses primarily on the construction and reconstruction of tram tracks, engineering networks, and roadways. Additionally, they engage in office space rental and renewable energy production, similar to IMOS's operations.
The authority concluded that the merger would not lead to a significant distortion of competition, allowing the acquisition to proceed without any conditions.
