On December 18, 2025, the Greek Competition Commission (E.A.) unanimously approved the acquisition of exclusive control by GEK TERNA S.A. over the business activities related to the financing, operation, maintenance, and exploitation of the Egnatia Odos highway and its three vertical road axes.

This merger pertains to the market for highway concessions with tolls, the management of transport infrastructure, and other ancillary services such as catering and fuel stations.

The E.A. concluded that this merger, although it falls under the scope of paragraph 1 of Article 6 of Law 3959/2011, does not raise serious doubts regarding its compatibility with the requirements for competition in the relevant markets.

This is an unofficial document for media use and does not bind the Competition Commission.

The full text of the decision will be published in the Government Gazette and on the Competition Commission's website www.epant.gr.
