On September 23, 2026, the Slovak competition authority, known as PMÚ, approved a merger that involves Madison Air Solutions Corporation from the United States acquiring indirect exclusive control over several German companies, including ebm-papst Mulfingen GmbH & Co. KGaA, Elektrobau Mulfingen GmbH & Co. KGaA, ebm-papst Verwaltungs GmbH, and ebm-papst Finanzierungsgesellschaft mbH, along with their subsidiaries.
This merger is characterized as conglomerate in nature, meaning that the parties involved do not have horizontal or vertical overlaps. As a result, the PMÚ concluded that the merger does not raise concerns regarding the distortion of competition and issued a decision without further justification.
The decision became legally binding on October 9, 2026.
