The Polish competition authority has initiated a series of inspections in recreational facilities such as playgrounds, trampoline parks, and climbing walls to ensure the safety of children during the winter holidays.
During the inspections, a total of 263 facilities were evaluated, and alarming safety issues were found in 40% of the establishments. These issues included sharp elements, damaged nets, delaminated coverings, unsecured wires, unstable platforms, and structural holes, all posing real dangers to children.
President of the Polish competition authority, Tomasz Chróstny, emphasized the importance of these inspections to ensure that children can enjoy their time in these facilities safely.
