The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has revealed the new fees that telemarketers will need to pay to access the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry for Fiscal Year 2027, which starts on October 1, 2026.

Telemarketers in the United States are mandated to download numbers from the National DNC Registry to avoid calling consumers who have opted out. The first five area codes can be downloaded for free, and certain exempt organizations, like some charities and political callers, can access the entire list at no cost.

For FY 2027, the fee for accessing a single area code will be $85, an increase of $3 from the previous fiscal year. The maximum fee for any single entity to access all area codes nationwide will rise to $23,425, up from $22,626 in FY 2026. Additionally, the cost for accessing an extra area code for a half year will increase to $43 from $41.

The Commission's decision to publish the Federal Register notice regarding these new fees was approved with a 2-0 vote.
