With great sadness, the Croatian competition authority announces the passing of Hrvoje Momčinović, who was the director of the Agency for the Protection of Market Competition from 2000 to 2003.

Mr. Momčinović had a rich and highly respected judicial career, serving as a judge on the High Commercial Court and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia, and later as a judge on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia.

Throughout his life, he made significant contributions to the development of the legal profession in Croatia, particularly through his publications in the fields of labor, civil, commercial, bankruptcy, and constitutional law.

He was also the chief editor of the journal Croatian Legal Review, further promoting expertise and legal thought.

He will be remembered as a great gentleman, expert, and person of integrity, whose work left a profound mark on the judiciary and the operations of the Agency.
