UOKiK has initiated proceedings against Vectra and Multimedia Polska for misleading pricing practices and removing discounts from consumers who fail to pay their bills on time.

14.05.2024 | Polish competition authority

The President of UOKiK has accused Vectra and Multimedia Polska of misleading consumers by presenting discounted prices as standard prices, failing to clearly communicate the conditions for discounts, and penalizing consumers by increasing future bills if they fail to pay on time. This practice may violate consumer interests and could result in fines of up to 10% of annual turnover for the companies. Similar actions are being taken against other telecommunications companies like P4, CANAL+, T-Mobile, Netia, and Orange for similar practices.
