The Slovak competition authority, known as PMÚ, commenced proceedings on April 22, 2026, to assess a concentration involving the acquisition of joint control over MAFRA, a.s. by entrepreneurs Ing. Pavol Tykač and KAPRAIN CHEMICAL LIMITED, based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Previously, MAFRA, a.s. was solely controlled by KAPRAIN CHEMICAL LIMITED. The authority is inviting third parties, including individuals and legal entities, to submit their comments, objections, and information regarding the announced concentration.

PMÚ encourages third parties to provide their feedback as soon as possible after the announcement to ensure that it can be considered during the initial phase of the concentration assessment.
