The Czech competition authority, ÚOHS, has granted approval for the merger between SC Czech AJZ, a newly established company, and Kaloa International, a holding company. This merger enables SC Czech AJZ to gain exclusive control over Kaloa International and its subsidiaries, which include well-known brands such as Slevomat.cz and CK Zanzo.

The merger primarily affects the online platforms that offer daily deals, experiences, travel, accommodation, and other leisure or consumer services. It also encompasses the provision of travel agency services and the operation of a price comparison platform for goods and services, particularly in travel, accommodation, and e-commerce.

SC Czech AJZ is controlled by the Genesis Private Equity Fund V, part of the Genesis Capital Private Equity Funds, which operates in various sectors in the Czech Republic, including engineering, retail, audiovisual technologies, and catering.

The merger was assessed under a simplified procedure, and the authority confirmed that it would not significantly disrupt competition in the market. The decision is final.
