CMA appoints new Deputy General Counsel to handle increased workload

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has announced the appointment of Jessica Radke as the new Deputy General Counsel, who will be responsible for providing legal and policy advice across the CMA's casework.

Jessica Radke, currently the Senior Director for Litigation at the CMA, will take on the role of Deputy General Counsel in early 2024. The appointment reflects the CMA's increased workload and responsibilities, as it prepares to take on greater powers. Radke's appointment is expected to strengthen the CMA's legal team and support its efforts to deliver for UK businesses and consumers. The appointments of the General Counsel and Executive Director for Digital Markets Regulation are still being finalized.
