The Croatian competition authority, represented by President Dr. Mirta Kapural and other officials, attended the 35th anniversary celebration of the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) in Budapest, coinciding with the VIII. Hungarian Competition Law Forum.

This milestone highlights GVH's long-standing commitment to maintaining fair market competition and consumer protection in Hungary. The forum gathered leading experts, international regulatory representatives, academics, and market authority leaders from around the world, providing a unique opportunity for sharing experiences and best practices.

Dr. Kapural participated in a panel dedicated to the practical application of abuse of dominance rules, where she presented key decisions from the Croatian competition authority and examples of judicial practice development in Croatia. The panel facilitated a comparison of experiences from Croatia, Hungary, and Portugal, discussing the application of rules in smaller market jurisdictions and the interaction between national and EU law.

The participation of the Croatian competition authority in this event further confirmed its active role in the international community of market regulators and highlighted its expertise in applying competition law, particularly in complex issues related to dominant firms and digital platforms.
