The Polish competition authority, in collaboration with the Trade Inspection and the National Revenue Administration, has inspected documentation for 1,139 electric bicycles at the border. These bicycles, consisting of 29 different models, were imported from outside the European Union.

During the inspection, it was found that none of the products had the required declarations of conformity, and many lacked proper instructions or had incorrect ones. Almost all models were either incorrectly labeled or not labeled at all.

While some businesses addressed certain irregularities, a staggering 963 electric bicycles, which accounts for 85% of the inspected units, were not allowed to enter the Polish market due to these compliance failures.
