The CNMC has published a report regarding internal contracts among certain companies within the Aena Group, in accordance with Article 321.6 of the Public Sector Contracts Law (LCSP). The report focuses on contracts for services related to parking access, VIP lounges, and 'Fast' services, where the parent company Aena provides specific services at its airports for employees of its subsidiaries.
According to the CNMC's findings, the contracts do not appear to distort competition as defined by the LCSP. The compensation between Aena and its subsidiaries is limited to well-defined activities, and there are no indications that the prices are above market rates. Additionally, clauses for assignment and subcontracting that were initially included have been removed.
The CNMC emphasizes that this report does not preclude future actions regarding its supervisory and sanctioning functions. The authority can be consulted by various legislative bodies and organizations to ensure compliance with competition laws.
