This event gathered representatives from seven essential supervisory and regulatory bodies in Croatia, including the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries and the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency.

The primary goal of the meeting was to strengthen collaboration among these institutions and to educate the public about their critical roles in the economic and social framework of the country. Key figures such as Boris Vujčić, the governor of the Croatian National Bank, and Mirta Kapural, president of the Competition Council of the AZTN, delivered opening remarks emphasizing the importance of inter-institutional cooperation.

During the discussions, participants highlighted the unique nature of regulatory work, stressing the need for independence, adequate resources, and expert staff. They also discussed the importance of clearly defining the roles of regulatory bodies compared to other public institutions. The meeting featured two panel sessions focusing on the status of regulators within Croatia’s institutional framework and the relationship between regulators and consumers.
