The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) of Ireland has released a preliminary assessment concerning the acquisition of Pelco Holdings Limited by Ard Services Limited, a subsidiary of Circle K Ireland Holding Limited. Pelco and Circle K are both significant players in the retail sale of motor fuels and operate convenience stores at service stations across Ireland. Pelco currently runs thirteen service stations, primarily located in the greater Dublin area, with nine of these included in the proposed merger.
