The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has initiated an investigation into Barclays for allegedly breaching Part 5 of the Retail Banking Order. This part mandates banks and building societies to provide Payment Transaction Histories to customers closing their personal or business current accounts. Barclays reportedly failed to deliver 1,648 Payment Transaction Histories to customers between June and August 2023. Additionally, 659 histories were sent late.
