CNMC Publishes Electricity and Gas Sector Settlements for 2024
The CNMC has released the 7/2024 settlement for the electricity sector showing a temporary deviation of -927.8 million euros in revenues versus costs, and the 10/2024 settlement for the gas sector with a 13.7% decrease in declared revenues compared to the previous year.

The CNMC has published the 7/2024 settlement for the electricity sector, revealing a temporary deviation of -927.8 million euros between revenues and costs. In the gas sector, the 10/2024 settlement shows declared revenues of 1,845.82 million euros, 13.7% lower than the previous year.
The electricity sector's settlement indicates a coverage coefficient of 87.3% due to insufficient revenues to cover recognized costs, with a demand of 112,504 GWh. The renewable energy, cogeneration, and waste settlement for 7/2024 amounts to 2,809.92 million euros, with 2,780.36 million euros paid by the Electricity Sector and 29.55 million euros by the State Budget.
The gas sector's 10/2024 settlement covers a period from October 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024, with declared revenues of 1,854.82 million euros. The gas demand for the year 2024 until July 31 was 226.9 TWh, 14.9 TWh lower than the same period in 2023, with total gas system output reaching 252.7 TWh.
