The CNMC is reviewing the wholesale market for access and call origination in fixed networks, which regulates the conditions for access to the fixed-line telephone network for alternative operators to Telefónica. The CNMC is proposing to completely deregulate this market, citing increased competition and the decreasing number of fixed-line telephone subscriptions. The proposal is now open for public consultation.
