Manon Leijten has been reappointed as a Member of the Board of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) by the Dutch Council of Ministers. Her new term will commence on March 1, 2025, and will last for five years.
Leijten has been part of the ACM Board since March 2, 2020, and her responsibilities cover various sectors including digital markets, energy, telecommunications, transport, and postal services. The current Board also includes Martijn Ridderbos and Martijn Snoep, who serves as Chairman. The Board members expressed their satisfaction with Leijten's continued involvement, highlighting her business-economic expertise and extensive administrative background.
Before joining the ACM, Leijten held significant positions in the Dutch government, including Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance for over six years. She also served as Director-General of the Senior Civil Service and held various roles within the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, showcasing her deep experience in public administration and economic policy.
