The Portuguese competition authority, known as AdC, has announced the withdrawal of the merger assessment procedure for the proposed merger between Esseco Industrial and Ercros, designated as Merger 80/2024.

This decision was made on August 13, 2025, following a request from the Notifier. The Competition Authority Board exercised its authority under the relevant statutes to declare the procedure extinct.

The withdrawal indicates that the notified concentration operation will not proceed, as per article 131 of the Code of Administrative Procedure.
