The Czech competition authority, ÚOHS, has granted approval for the change of ownership of OSEVA UNI, a company based in Choceň. This transaction was approved unconditionally, as it does not raise concerns about significant disruption to competition. The decision is final.
The joint control over OSEVA UNI will be held by Agricultural Cooperative Dolní Újezd (ZDDÚ) and KFI s.r.o., a company based in Prague. ZDDÚ operates under the Agricultural Company Dolní Újezd s.r.o., which is primarily engaged in agricultural production and processing, as well as providing related services such as machinery repairs and greenhouse production.
KFI is a holding company established for asset management, controlled by an individual who is active in sectors unrelated to agriculture through other companies.
OSEVA UNI, either directly or through its subsidiaries, operates in agriculture, focusing on the production and sale of certified seeds, unprocessed agricultural products, fertilizers, feed mixtures, and plant protection products.
The merger was processed under a simplified procedure, and the authority concluded that it does not pose any significant competition concerns.
