The CNMC (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia) has approved a forecast for regulatory circulars related to energy, with processing expected to start in 2026. This forecast includes a circular that focuses on energy policy aspects and outlines the objectives intended to be achieved.

Additionally, the schedule specifies the anticipated date for the public consultation process and the expected date for the adoption of the regulation. This announcement is made in light of the observations that may arise from this communication.

This marks the eighth calendar of circulars approved following the publication of Royal Decree-Law 1/2019, which aimed to align the CNMC's competencies with the requirements of European community law as established by Directives 2009/72/EC and 2009/73/EC, which govern the internal market for electricity and natural gas.

The full calendar can be accessed through the CNMC's official channels.
