On November 24, 2025, the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) granted approval for the acquisition of joint control of WREB Redevelopment by Koutermolen, LCV Invest, and Colim. This decision follows a notification submitted to the BCA on November 12, 2025, where the parties requested the application of a simplified procedure.
Koutermolen is the parent company of Willy Naessens Group, which operates in construction, concrete, swimming pools, food, and investment sectors. LCV Invest specializes in developing industrial, logistical, and commercial real estate, while Colim, part of Colruyt Group, focuses on the development and management of real estate for its stores.
The joint venture aims to (re)develop and sell former Makro sites located in Alleur, Nazareth, Lodelinsart, Machelen, Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, and Deurne, as well as Metro sites in various locations. The BCA concluded that the conditions for the simplified procedure were met and that the concentration did not raise any objections.
