The Polish Competition Authority (DKK) issued Decision No DKK-235/2026 on October 28, 2026, approving the merger between Chefs Culinar sp. z o.o., based in Tarnobrzeg, and Matthias Meat Processing Plant sp. z o.o., located in Kolonia Zamek.

This decision follows an antitrust investigation initiated at the request of Chefs Culinar. The authority determined that the merger would not raise any competition concerns and thus granted approval without the need for further justification, as the decision fully met the request of the merging parties.

As per the legal framework, the decision allows Chefs Culinar to take control over Matthias Meat Processing Plant, which is expected to enhance operational efficiencies and market presence for Chefs Culinar.

There are provisions for appeal against this decision to the District Court in Warsaw within one month of notification, with a fixed court fee of 1000 PLN applicable for such appeals.
