06.04.2025 | Norwegian competition authority
The Norwegian competition authority, known as Konkurransetilsynet, has conducted unannounced inspections at various veterinary clinics as part of an investigation into potential unlawful cooperation among these clinics.
According to Magnus Friis Reitan, the deputy head of the department for food, trade, and health at Konkurransetilsynet, the authority is looking into whether there has been any collusion that breaches competition laws. The inspections were carried out to either confirm or dispel suspicions regarding this matter.
The evidence collection was authorized by the district court, and Konkurransetilsynet has seized relevant materials that will now be reviewed as part of the investigation process.
While Konkurransetilsynet cannot provide further comments on this specific case, they have indicated that their press line will be available for general process information.
