Public Consultation on Elering AS's Electricity Transmission Network Development Plan 2025-2034

The Estonian competition authority has initiated a public consultation process concerning Elering AS's ten-year development plan for the electricity transmission network, covering the period from 2025 to 2034. This consultation is mandated by Article 51 of the European Parliament and Council Directive (EU) 2019/944 and Section 66(8) of the Electricity Market Act, which requires Elering AS to submit its network development plan to the competition authority at least every two years.
The public consultation took place from November 1 to December 2, 2024. Based on the feedback received from market participants and the positions of the competition authority, Elering AS has made amendments to the development plan. The competition authority will further consult with all users of the network connections and provide current and potential future users the opportunity to review the modified development plan.
Stakeholders are encouraged to submit their feedback and comments on the revised electricity transmission network development plan by February 25, 2025, via the provided email address. The updated plan can be accessed in a PDF format for detailed review.
