The Justice Department’s Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade Commission have announced an extension for the public comment period concerning their inquiry into guidance on collaborations among competitors. Originally set to close on April 24, 2026, the new deadline is now May 21, 2026.
This extension aims to provide stakeholders, including attorneys, economists, academics, consumer groups, and industry representatives, with additional time to submit their insights and feedback. The Agencies are seeking comprehensive input to inform the development of updated guidance, which will build upon the previous 2000 Antitrust Guidelines for Collaborations Among Competitors.
Interested parties can submit comments, which should not exceed 18 pages, through Regulations.gov. The feedback collected will play a crucial role in shaping the Agencies' updated guidance for the business community.
