The CNMC has introduced two interactive maps on its website that display the available capacity in Spain's electricity networks. One map focuses on generation capacity while the other addresses demand capacity.

Previously, users had to navigate through various company websites to find this information. The new maps allow users to filter data by distribution/transmission manager, province, voltage level, and the number of available positions at substations.

These maps integrate previously scattered information and will be updated monthly. They provide essential details such as minimum and maximum capacity values for both distribution and transmission networks, as well as generation capacity based on technology and demand evaluation criteria.

It is important to note that while the maps provide valuable insights, any requests for access and connection permits must still be directed to the respective network manager, as stipulated by the legislation governing electricity network access.
