The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) has granted approval for a merger between U-Power Group S.p.A. and CERVA GROUP a.s. in a simplified procedure. This merger will enable U-Power to gain exclusive control over CERVA, particularly in the field of personal protective equipment and workwear.

U-Power Group S.p.A., part of the Renaissance business group, operates mainly in European markets and focuses on the design, production, and distribution of personal protective equipment, especially work footwear, as well as supplying workwear. In the Czech Republic, U-Power operates through an independent distributor, DEXIS Czech Republic s.r.o.

CERVA GROUP a.s. is a significant European supplier of personal protective equipment and workwear. In the Czech Republic, the CERVA group is active through companies such as FACHMAN s.r.o., HYGOTREND s.r.o., and Princ s.r.o., which handle product procurement, distribution, and support services within the group.

The ÚOHS assessed the merger in a simplified procedure and concluded that the transaction would not result in a significant distortion of competition. The decision to approve the merger is final.
