GeneraLife Clinics S.L. failed to notify the CNMC of its acquisition of exclusive control of Clínicas Ginemed S.L. before executing it in August 2021, violating the Competition Defense Law. The CNMC has initiated disciplinary proceedings against GeneraLife and its parent company, Investindustrial Growth L.P., for "gun jumping," which is the act of executing a concentration operation without prior notification. The CNMC has required GeneraLife to notify the acquisition, and the investigation is ongoing, with a maximum period of 3 months for resolution by the CNMC.
