The Polish competition authority, UOKiK, has imposed fines totaling over 400,000 PLN on six individuals promoting the iGenius program, which was found to be a pyramid scheme. The program lured participants with promises of quick financial gains and independence.

iGenius offered digital educational products and services, but the core of the project was a partnership program aimed at recruiting new participants. UOKiK's president, Tomasz Chróstny, stated that the marketing tactics used by the promoters created an illusion of financial freedom without the need for work or qualifications.

The fines were distributed among the promoters, with the highest penalty of 99,000 PLN imposed on Cezary Lewicki. UOKiK has also mandated that the fined individuals cease their questionable practices and publish statements regarding the authority's decisions on their websites and social media.

This action is part of UOKiK's ongoing efforts to combat pyramid schemes in Poland, following previous sanctions against promoters of similar projects. After their involvement with iGenius, some promoters have shifted to new projects, raising concerns about the continuity of such deceptive practices.

Additionally, iGenius LLC has rebranded itself as Conectiv LLC, attempting to distance itself from its controversial past and negative public perception.
