The Estonian competition authority, known as Konkurentsiamet, has been awarded the Family-Friendly Employer silver label, which acknowledges its initiatives aimed at enhancing the work environment for both employees and their families. This recognition is part of a long-term program that involves close collaboration between the organization's management and its employees.
Organizations that receive this label must undergo a reassessment every two years to maintain their status. The Family-Friendly Employer label signifies that the organization prioritizes the well-being of its employees and actively supports a balance between work and family life. Institutions that earn this label are committed to fostering a supportive workplace.
Konkurentsiamet first received the Family-Friendly Employer label in 2022, and through the recent reassessment, its label has been extended until 2027. The program promoting the Family-Friendly Employer label was initiated by the Ministry of Social Affairs in collaboration with Civitta Estonia AS.
Since its launch in 2017, the label has been available for application by employers in both the private and public sectors, as well as civil society organizations. The program is funded by the European Social Fund, and participation for employers is free of charge.
