Spanish and Moroccan Energy Regulators Strengthen Collaboration

The CNMC and the Moroccan electricity regulator have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance their strategic partnership in energy matters, focusing on distribution tariffs and cost allocation.

The Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC) and the Autorité Nationale de Régulation de l'Électricité (ANRE) of Morocco have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their strategic collaboration in energy regulation.

The MoU aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices in designing electricity distribution tariffs and cost allocation, covering aspects such as asset investment remuneration and operational and maintenance activities.

This agreement also promotes joint work through research projects, workshops, information exchanges, and training sessions, enhancing cooperation between the regulators of both countries.
