Czech Authority Approves IROMET's Acquisition of Liberty Ostrava
The Czech competition authority has granted approval for IROMET SICAV a.s. to acquire control over parts of Liberty Ostrava a.s., including several production facilities.

The Czech competition authority, known as Úřad pro ochranu hospodářské soutěže, has approved a first-instance decision allowing IROMET SICAV a.s. to gain control over parts of Liberty Ostrava a.s. This acquisition includes operations related to pipe production, flat product rolling, long product rolling, and coke production.
According to the authority's findings, the merger will not lead to a significant distortion of competition in the market. However, it is important to note that this decision is not yet final and may be subject to further review.
IROMET SICAV a.s. is part of a business group led by PCTT limit s.r.o., which operates primarily in the real estate rental sector through its subsidiaries TENDON Reality s.r.o. and PCTT Reality, s.r.o. Additionally, the group provides various engineering services and supplies to different industrial sectors through VCL GROUP, a.s. and its subsidiaries.
The acquired part of Liberty Ostrava is involved in the production and sale of raw iron, profiles, concrete reinforcement, rebar, beams, castings, rolled wire, hot-rolled flat products, seamless pipes of small diameters, mining steel reinforcement, commodity pipes, and steel road barriers.
