The Lithuanian Competition Council has granted clearance for Inbank Holdings to acquire 33.43% of Mobire Group shares, enabling it to take sole control of the company. Previously, Inbank Holdings shared control of Mobire Group with other shareholders.
The merger notification was submitted on November 11, 2025. After evaluating the transaction, the Competition Council determined that the merger would not create or strengthen a dominant market position or significantly restrict competition in the relevant markets.
Inbank Holdings is an Estonian holding company controlled by Inbank, a credit institution that operates in several countries including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Inbank provides various digital consumer finance solutions in Lithuania, including hire purchase and small loans.
Mobire Group, also based in Estonia, does not conduct independent economic activities. Its subsidiaries, Mobire Eesti, Mobire Latvija, and Mobire Lietuva, are involved in car and minibus rentals and the sale of used vehicles across the Baltic region.
The merger was required to be notified to the Competition Council due to the combined revenues of the involved parties exceeding EUR 20 million, with at least two of the undertakings having revenues over EUR 2 million in the year prior to the merger.
