E-commerce Revenue in Spain Reaches €28.3 Billion in Q2 2025

Spain's e-commerce sector saw a significant growth of 22.6% year-on-year, reaching €28.3 billion in revenue during the second quarter of 2025.

The Spanish competition authority, CNMC, reported that e-commerce revenue in Spain increased by 22.6% year-on-year, totaling €28.3 billion in the second quarter of 2025. This growth reflects a robust demand for online services and products.

Among the sectors contributing to this growth, travel agencies and tour operators accounted for 10% of total revenue, while the air transport sector contributed 7.4%. The number of transactions also rose, with over 493 million recorded, marking a 16.8% increase.

Geographically, 45.8% of the revenue was generated from domestic transactions, while 54.2% came from purchases made abroad. The net external balance showed a deficit of €11.3 billion, indicating a higher volume of imports than exports in e-commerce.

In terms of transactions, 36.2% were domestic, and 63.9% were international. The volume of business from Spain to foreign markets reached €15.4 billion, a 17.8% increase compared to the previous year, with a significant portion of these transactions occurring within the European Union.

Overall, the e-commerce landscape in Spain is thriving, with substantial contributions from various sectors, particularly tourism and financial services.
