On April 13, 2026, the general auditor of the Belgian competition authority received a notification concerning a merger under Article IV.10. § 1 of the Economic Code. The merger involves the transfer of IPM Group from MAJA, the family holding of the le Hodey family, to Rossel in exchange for 10% of Rossel's shares, along with guarantees ensuring editorial independence.

The merger affects the sectors of newspaper publishing and magazine publishing. The authority invites interested third parties to submit their observations regarding the proposed merger, preferably by April 21, 2026. Observations can be sent via email referencing CONC - CC - 25/0009.

IPM Group operates several print media titles, including the daily newspapers La Libre, La DH/Les Sports, and L’Avenir, as well as weekly magazines like Moustique and Télé Pocket. Rossel is a media group active in Belgium and France, publishing the national daily Le Soir and several regional newspapers, along with magazines such as Soir mag and Ciné Télé Revue.
