The Slovenian competition authority, known as the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the Protection of Competition, has made a significant decision regarding the merger of two companies.

GEN energija d.o.o., located in Krško, has acquired exclusive control over GORENJSKE ELEKTRARNE, a company engaged in electricity production based in Kranj. The authority has reviewed the merger and found it to be in compliance with competition regulations.

This decision indicates that the merger will not harm competition in the market, allowing both companies to operate under the new structure without facing legal challenges from the authority.
