On November 3, 2025, the Greek Competition Authority held a session where it unanimously approved the acquisition of exclusive control by Generali Hellas Insurance Company over General Clinic, a diagnostic and therapeutic surgical center, under Article 8, paragraph 3 of Law 3959/2011.
The merger pertains to the relevant markets of private health insurance services and private health services, specifically diagnostic centers, where vertical relationships exist between the companies involved in the transaction.
The Competition Authority, considering the small market shares of the participating companies, concluded that although the transaction falls under the scope of paragraph 1 of Article 6 of Law 3959/2011, it does not alter competitive conditions. Therefore, the merger does not raise serious doubts regarding its compatibility with the requirements for competition in the relevant markets where the participating companies operate.

The full text of the decision will be published in the Government Gazette and on the website of the Competition Authority at www.epant.gr.
