Yann Coz Takes on New Role as Ethics Advisor at French Competition Authority

Yann Coz, an experienced administrative judge, has been appointed as the Ethics, Whistleblowing, and Secularism Advisor at the Autorité de la concurrence. This decision was made by the authority's President, Benoît Cœuré, and marks a significant step in enhancing ethical standards within the organization.
Coz, a graduate of the École normale supérieure and the École nationale d’administration, has a robust background in administrative law. He began his career at the Paris Administrative Court and has held various roles, including Head of the Public Service division at Défenseur des droits.
As the Ethics Advisor, Coz will guide public servants on ethical obligations, including conflict of interest prevention, asset declarations, and compliance with neutrality and impartiality rules. His role as Whistleblowing Advisor will involve receiving reports from staff seeking whistleblower protection, while as Secularism Advisor, he will ensure adherence to the principle of secularism within the authority.
