On January 17, during a session, the Greek Competition Commission issued Decision No. 872/2025, unanimously approving the merger involving KOSMOCAR A.E.'s acquisition of exclusive control over MAN HELLAS AE. This decision was made in accordance with Article 8, paragraph 3 of Law 3959/2011.

KOSMOCAR A.E. and its sister company, KARENT A.E., primarily engage in the wholesale and retail sale of new and used passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and motorcycles, as well as the trade of related spare parts and the provision of repair and maintenance services. The target company, MAN HELLAS AE, mainly operates in the trade of commercial vehicles and their spare parts.

The Competition Authority concluded that the merger does not affect any relevant markets, and therefore, it does not lead to anti-competitive horizontal, vertical, or conglomerate effects. Consequently, despite falling under the scope of paragraph 1 of Article 6 of Law 3959/2011, the merger does not raise serious doubts regarding its compatibility with the requirements for maintaining competition in the relevant markets.
