Italian Competition Authority and Transport Regulatory Authority Renew Cooperation Agreement

The Italian Competition Authority and the Transport Regulatory Authority have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation for ensuring competition in markets and protecting consumers' interests.


The President of the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) and the President of the Transport Regulatory Authority (ART) have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding in Rome. The agreement covers various aspects of cooperation between the two institutions.

The AGCM and the ART have complementary functions in ensuring competition levels in markets and protecting consumers' interests. The renewal aims to strengthen cooperation and make their institutional mandates more effective through coordination.

A Technical Table will be established to implement the activities outlined in the Memorandum. This table will consist of heads of relevant offices to oversee the subject matters.
