The Slovenian Competition Authority (AVK) has officially launched an investigation against multiple companies, including Acer Europe, Acord-92, Actual I.T., and others, for potential violations of competition law.

The investigation focuses on allegations that these companies may have engaged in a prohibited restrictive agreement or coordinated actions during public procurement processes for the supply of personal and portable computers and related peripheral equipment. The suspected violations are believed to have occurred from June 2019, with different companies participating at various times and in relation to different public tenders.

It is alleged that the companies involved submitted manipulated bids aimed at dividing public contracts, setting prices, and eliminating effective competition. The AVK is calling on all individuals to provide any relevant information that could assist in the decision-making process.

Confidential information must be marked as such and submitted separately to the AVK, in accordance with the provisions of the Slovenian Competition Act. The authority also emphasizes that the initiation of proceedings does not constitute a final decision regarding the existence of a violation.
